STANDARD FABRICATORS (DUBAI)

Structural Engineers

Description

Must be able to perform engineering calculations and analysis of structural steel and foundations. Position has responsibility for creating and implementing engineering solutions to ensure integrity of all structural components.

Provide drawings for own designs and provide sketches to incorporate in drawings by Designers/Drafters. Must be able to co-ordinate with other disciplines and review client/vendor drawings. Will lead a team of draftspeople.

Requirements

BS(E) in Civil or Structural Engineering, with well developed knowledge of civil and structural engineering principles, and skilled in understanding code requirements. Experienced in STAAD (Pro) or equivalent Finite Element Analysis software

AutoCADD Drafts persons

Auto cad drafts persons with a minimum of 2 to 3 years working purely in the preparation of structural and or architectural metal works, ideally the right person would have been employed by a steel fabrication company and be familiar with the preparation of workshop drawings inclusive of all plans , elevations, sections and connection details.

Candidates must be self motivated and be able to work with the minimum supervision and guidance.

Workshop and Site Foremen / Supervisors'

• The ideal candidates for both of these positions will have a minimum of 5 years experience in overseeing/supervising a workforce of over 50 people they must have a thorough knowledge of reading and interpreting architectural, structural and workshop drawings and specifications.
• Have experience in fabrication and or installation and welding techniques and procedures.
• Be aware of safety procedures.
• Be self motivated and have the ability in motivating a multinational work force to achieve maximum productivity.

Steel Fabricators.

• Applicants must have a minimum of 5 years experience in working with steel, preferably in a workshop environment, a basic knowledge of reading and interpreting steelwork drawings and specifications is essential.
• Must have the ability to recognise different classifications of metals, and be generally technically minded.
• Experience in setting out and forming jigs for fabrication purposes

• Must hold a degree in Mechanical or Civil engineering and have a minimum of 3 years experience working in a Steel Fabrication or Contracting company.
• A thorough knowledge of reading and interpreting steelwork drawings and specifications is essential.
• Experience in coordinating all aspects of onsite installations with the architects, main contractors and the manufacturing facility, attending site meetings and carrying out site survey is also desired.
• Must be fluent in bth written and spoken english, be self motivated and have the ability to work with minimal supervision.
